PAGASA had one of its most well-attended GenMeets on 25 October 2023 held at Chairman Fu Hotpot inside the new Grand Wing of Newport Mall at Resorts World. Among the topics discussed: - Economic Team of Malacañang planning to tax single-use plastic bags, salted foods & sweetened-beverages once more to raise funds.
- DTI calls for an NPCC Mtg two weeks later to discuss requested "price freeze" this X'mas & the strict prohibition on pass-through fees by municipalities spanning major thoroughfares.
- Malls along EDSA & major avenues are to operate from 11am-11pm starting 13 Nov.-8 Jan. 2024 according to MMDA to dissipate traffic during the Season.
- Liquor Ban in effect from 12:01am of 29 Oct. (Sun.) to 12 midnight of 30 Oct. 2023 (Election Day-Monday). Sales of wine and liquor to resume on 31 Oct. 2023. (For residents of the City of Mla., acc. to Phil. Daily Inq, liquor ban extends til midnight of 2 Nov. 2023.)
